Surreal! So-Real!

The Kick off of this FINAL season of Sons Of Anarchy started with the usual recap of last season's finale. Naturally, that involved a quick snip of the part where Gemma kills Tara. So Real! The first time I saw it, it almost made me sick (VERY HARD TO DO! Good Job Kurt Sutter!) and when I saw the recap, it happened again.
Here is my personal moral dilemma with the show. When Tara died, it rocked my world. I am a loving father and husband, with that in mind, the scene prompted me to imagine my wife being murdered in the same brutal fashion and my skin crawled. Not sure how to come around to saying it, but, it's NOT cool.
After last season's finale, many of the fans were happy she was killed, some were sad and shocked, but it seemed to me that the majority of the fans thought this was a good thing. To that, I say, "You've got something seriously wrong with you." I feel like it comes from a basic misunderstanding and inability to follow the true motives of the show. I feel many of it's viewers simply enjoy watching Jax deliver cool lines and bring being a gangster biker back to the cool side of things, but its' just not. And you've misunderstood the show.
Tara's death is intended to be Shakespearean, Kurt Sutter himself says that the scene is meant to bring tragedy to the show, not victory. The whole point of legitimizing the club it to do so in order to keep his family safe and intact. Not Jax's children are without a mother, and a damn good one at that.
At this point, if you believe her death was justified, you are shouting at me internally, "She was gonna rat! She was gonna rat on the club!" BUT SHE DIDN'T!!!! And Jax made the right decision. If the only thing you can think of at this point is, "I'm glad she's dead, she was gonna rat!" Then I believe you probably fit into one of these categories: Heartless (not real likely, but I've seen sadder things), Don't have kids, Don't have a women you love to death, missed a large part of the story. If you don't fit into these categories, please leave your shill comments at the bottom.
Tara was scared, confused, and being slowly kept further and further from the picture as Jax pushed her away. There are reasons for this, most of the time when Jax and Tara would talk to one another during the previous season, it was only about getting out and becoming legit. So naturally, everytime Jax sees her and can't tel;l her good news that gets them closer to the end-game, he'll feel a twinge of guilt, and a generally won;t want to share the going's on.
Yes, I was just as upset as the rest of the world when she got it in her head to divorce Jax, but that came from feeling alone, and not believing that they shared the same goals anymore, not hatred of Jax or the club. With that said, I leave you with this:
Is the club so important that no number of dead bodies can stack up against it and crush it? Where do you draw the line? Jax drew it at losing his wife and kids, if you admire Jax, respect that and the woman he loved.

This was the first target I fired at when I went shooting shortly after seeing the finale of last season's Sons of Anarchy. Yup, their dead. And hopefully, this season, they really will be. Vengance is the only thing that could happen and the only thing that should, now!
